2011 Summer season / Winter in Orlando
Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 10:02AM Well this season was one not to forget for many reasons. April and May were cold and snowy. I had some great people with horses in May. They brought 8 horses with them. So Duane and I built a new horse shed that kept half there horses out of the weather and mine two outlaws (Bonnie & Clyde) snug in theres. Also had a very nice lady from Florida and friend bring there horses a few weeks latter too. Had a major catastrope happen Memorial weed end. Drain field for the building gave up..... should have known 18 years ago the trees that are so green and big would bite us in the butt some day. So that was a unexpected expence , but its fixed with a brand new 200 ft , 10 ft deep drain field that will last forever.
I had some of the nicest folk from all over the world at my little camp ground. I even sent a lost stuffed dog that was left in Momumant Valley at there hotel back to a little girl in Switzerland. She sent me pictures of her home and village and treasures ill alway have to remember her with. I have to admit my little rv park is a jem out in the middle of the most beautiful country in the us.
I had a good year for jewelry and did my favorit art shows. I have a bunch of new stone from friends that have traveled all over. I get to go to my favorit bead show in a few weeks.
The trip from Torrey to Orlando was a hard one for me this year. Its always hard for me to leave my home and animals. Thanks to Dave and Sharleen at the Red River Lodge for taking Bonnie & Clyde for me. My dearest friends Beth, Timmy and there newest addition Jasper Odin Pote for taking our resuce chickens for the winter. The hardest thing for me was finding out how sick I really am. I havent been up to pare for a while but I just keep motoring on and just chalked it up to getting older. We im in renal failure. Thats kidney disease, I havent had to have dialysis yet and really hope it wont get to that. So if anyone had a extra kidney they dont want just give me a call. :) But really I am trying to stay as positive as i can be. Keeping my BP normal and eating the foods that are right for me at this time.
Im back at the Lake Eola Farmers Market for the 5th winter. Last sunday was my first day. I wasnt feeling to good that day, but it was still fun seeing all my good friends there.
I am a very lucky woman to have what I have and live the life style i do. I owe it all to my love Duane and my mom and all the family I have in Torrey. My best friend Betty has been my rock and has helped me through my fits of crying and laughing. I dont know what i would do with out her. My dear friend Jane has offered to take me in if i have to go back to SLC for treatment and is looking for the best kidney doctor in slc for me right now.
I hope to have a good winter and a warm one. I find myself cold all the time. Im going to get motivated and start some new projects soon as I can. If any one needs something special please let me know. I would love a good project right now. Take care and Thank you all for the subport and love all my guests and friends and family have given me over this year.
Much Love to you all! Donna
